Area49: we're the second most famous organization in the world that doesn't officially exist. If we did, we would be found about 100 miles outside Las Vegas in Nevada's high desert, tucked between an Air Force base and an abandoned nuclear testing ground. You know, right next to that most famous military installation Area51. Our purported job is to find comercial use for out of this world technology. We would probably be more successful if we could advertise.
In reality, we are a loose collection of very talented former Apple, NeXT, Microsoft, Amazon, DoD, and Google employees who build interesting things and engage together and individually with others on a project by project basis.
Many of us have been company founders multiple times over. We have held CEO, GM, CTO, and COO positions. We have experience that ranges from startups to publicly traded companies. In addition to our engineering backgrounds, we share a deep understanding of fiduciary responsibilities and the importance of revenue growth in ensuring ultimate success.
In terms of Reactive Systems, all the necessary aspects of such systems are already recognised individually. I like to build systems that are Responsive, Resilient, Elastic and Message Driven. Systems built this way are more flexible, loosely-coupled and scalable. This makes them easier to develop and amenable to change. They are significantly more tolerant of failure and when failure does occur they meet it with elegance rather than disaster. Reactive Systems are highly responsive, giving users effective interactive feedback. If this sounds interesting to you, please take a look at Lightbend.
Each of us can work with databases, servers, systems engineering, and client work. Depending on what kind of client is needed that can mean a mobile stack, web stack, or native applications. Basically if you're looking for all-singing, all-dancing technical wizards or at least people who won't complain too much when asked to do some work outside our normal comfort zones, you've come to the right place. We just get things done™
Based on our combined experience of developing software ourselves and helping others do the same, we value:
We bring together hackers, penitration testers, and special operators in order to manage a multi-blended, adversarial-based attack against your people, your software, your hardware and your facilities. This allows you to engage in a real world test of your security protocols, plans, procedures, and facilities.
